Netherlands Consul General visits FYF Center

The Netherlands Consul General, Jaco Beerends, visited FYF’s Enterprise & Training Center today to meet with Yezidis and express solidarity with the community during a difficult time, due to an uptick in hate speech directed against the Yezidi community. The Dutch Consul asked for more details about the xenophobic rhetoric and the impact on the Yezidi community. FYF’s Country Director, Hewan Omer, and FYF staff discussed some of these current challenges, as well as longer term goals, including those FYF is working towards at the ETC.
