FYF Executive Director wins prestigious Voices of Courage Award

New York, USA.

Today, on International Women’s Day, it was announced that FYF founder and Executive Director Pari Ibrahim has won the prestigious Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC) Voices of Courage award. WRC is an American charitable organization that aims to improve the lives and protect the rights of women, children, and youth displaced by conflict and crisis. Each year WRC honors activists who promote women’s rights and the rights of refugees and the displaced.

FYF is grateful to WRC for naming Pari Ibrahim as one of the 2022 Voices of Courage for her tireless efforts to promote and protect Yezidi women, particularly the displaced, and for creating and directing a women-led organization. The award ceremony will be held in New York City in May.
