Weaving for Wellness: Women’s Income Generating Activities Improve Mental Health

Nados was forcibly displaced at the start of the Yezidi Genocide in 2014. Separated from her family and living in a makeshift tent, Nados struggled to find comfort and peace in her displacement.

Learning how to make traditional carpets and working on the loom has significantly improved Nados’ wellbeing. An artisan at FYF’s Enterprise and Training Center, she also earns a sustainable income from the sales of her products.
