Zina is a compassionate humanitarian psychologist dedicated to guiding her community from adversity to resilience, fostering a brighter future. Armed with a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Duhok, Zina's journey into the humanitarian sector was catalyzed by the aftermath of the Yezidi Genocide, propelling her to aid those grappling with psychological struggles. Over the past years, Zina has been a beacon of support for numerous individuals, including IDPs, returnees, and host communities. Through her roles as a psychologist, case manager, social researcher, and community mobilizer with both local and international organizations, she has made a tangible difference in the lives of many. Driven by her unwavering dedication, Zina has embarked on a new chapter with the Free Yezidi Foundation, where she aims to continue her mission of providing crucial psychological support to Yezidis and other affected communities. Her commitment to healing and empowering individuals underscores her profound impact on the humanitarian landscape in Iraq.
