Sonia Barakat is a passionate advocate for women's and children's rights, specializing in their defense and empowerment. With a bachelor's degree in law, Sonya has dedicated the past decade to collaborating with international NGOs and local organizations to promote equality in the face of discrimination and violence. She has focused on addressing discrimination against women and working to protect women and children from violence and exploitation. At FYF, Sonya brings her unwavering commitment to both women's and children's rights to, combined with her legal expertise, to support survivors of ISIS atrocities to access reparations and holistic support.
