Sameera Murad

Sameera Murad brings a wealth of experience from her work with various NGOs across Sinjar and the Kurdistan Region. She began her journey in humanitarian work in response to the 2014 Yezidi Genocide, where her focus became supporting the most vulnerable survivors. As an MHPSS consultant, case manager, and protection case worker, Sameera has worked extensively to raise rights awareness and provide essential support to female survivors and children affected by conflict and displacement. Now serving as FYF's Outreach Officer, Sameera is committed to fostering a more equitable and inclusive society. She is passionate about promoting rights awareness, encouraging positive community engagement, and empowering women to advocate for their own and others' wellbeing. Her work plays a vital role in strengthening community resilience and supporting the foundation’s mission.
