Basma Sulaiman
Education Officer
Basma Sulaiman, from Sinjar, holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language from the Catholic University of Erbil and has over three years of experience in education and humanitarian work. She has worked as an English Language Trainer with Jesuit Worldwide Learning, a teacher with Jesuit Refugee Service, and a translator for Solidarity International. Basma has also led women’s empowerment programs with Hope Makers for Women and contributed to publications on religious diversity in Iraq. As FYF’s Education Officer, she develops inclusive educational programs for displaced and marginalized communities, promoting lifelong learning and access to education.
