FYF participates in IRF Summit in Washington

Washington, D.C., USA

The Free Yezidi Foundation participated in the 2023 IRF Summit in Washington, D.C., from 29 January to 1 February this year. FYF represented the Yezidi community at the opening event on 29 January, where a number of persecuted communities, such as Rohingya and Uygher, shared the severe human rights violations their people have suffered. FYF also joined the ‘Documenting IRF Track’ to discuss the critical role of justice and accountability in the aftermath of mass atrocities, and why more must be done urgently in the Yezidi case and in other cases of genocide or systematic human rights violations around the world.
