FYF Meets Netherlands Consul General

Today FYF Executive Director Pari Ibrahim met with Dutch Consul General Jaco Beerends to discuss several matters relating to the Yezidi community. These included the current case in the Netherlands against Hasna A. for enslavement of a Yezidi, the recent visit to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region by the Dutch Human Rights Minister, the ongoing plight of the displaced Yezidis, and the challenges in facilitating safe, dignified, voluntary return of Yezidi IDPs. The challenges for youth and for minority communities to succeed in business and employment were also discussed. FYF remains engaged with the Netherlands and other governments to help support Yezidi recovery and development.
