FYF hosts roundtable discussion for 16 Days of Activism for Women’s Rights

FYF held a roundtable discussion with international and national organizations at its Enterprise & Training Center as a 16 Days of Activism event to highlight women’s rights issues and combat gender-based violence. FYF and other organizations provide survivors of violence with support and aid. FYF and others noted the gendered crimes of ISIS against Yezidis, and the unknown fate of 2693 missing Yezidis many years later.

FYF, a women-led non-governmental organization, is dedicated to providing humanitarian services to Yezidi survivors and women and children, with a particular emphasis on trauma recovery and psychological services, economic empowerment, community reintegration, education, and the pursuit of justice and accountability. FYF raises international awareness of the plight of the Yezidis and how to address their concerns in an ethical manner and plays an important role in promoting better and broader humanitarian and human rights support to the Yezidis, including the rights of women and girls within the Yezidi community.
