At the end of May, Free Yezidi Foundation (FYF) and partner Sinjar Academy closed out their project, “Supporting Youth Participation in Civic Action,” with a final pitching event. Five selected participants were given the opportunity to present their ideas for community and social cohesion projects to an audience of 100 attendees from humanitarian agencies and the public and private sectors.

At the event, FYF Country Director, Hewan Omer, provided closing remarks in which she emphasized the importance of supporting and empowering Yezidi youth by providing them with platforms to pitch and invest in their ideas to rebuild Sinjar.
