Bakery Worker Shares Impact of Her Work With FYF
FYF’s Bakery Worker, Fryal Khudeeda Ido, reflects on the impact of her job at FYF’s Sugar is Sweet Bakery and Cafe:
“As a resilient and determined Yezidi IDP woman who has been living in a rented house for the past eight years, I have found it very difficult to provide for my family and children. I currently work at the Sugar is Sweet Bakery and Cafe at FYF’s Enterprise and Training Center. My job helps me both financially and psychologically, as I feel safe and supported by everyone here. I am so happy that I also have the opportunity to attend educational courses at the center because I always wanted to learn reading and writing to be able to better support my children in the future and help them learn.”

FYF’s Enterprise and Training Center and Bakery provides vulnerable Yezidi women with holistic support and opportunities to reduce their vulnerabilities, restore their agency, and improve their income generating capacities.
