Meet FYF’s Protection Officer, Khalidah Elias

This week on FYF’s “Meet Our Female Leaders” series, we are spotlighting our Protection Officer, Khalidah Elias:

“I joined FYF because I wanted to make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable communities, particularly those who have experienced unimaginable hardship. What drew me to FYF was its commitment to providing protection and support to individuals who have been subjected to persecution and violence. The foundation recognizes that everyone deserves safety, dignity, and a chance to rebuild their lives. As Protection Officer, my role is to ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals we serve. I am passionate about advocating for their rights and providing them with the necessary resources to recover and thrive.

At FYF, I am surrounded by a dedicated team of individuals who share the same vision, and work tirelessly to create a safe environment for those in need. Joining FYF has allowed me to combine my skills and experience with my deep empathy for others. Every day, I am inspired by the resilience and strength of the individuals we support, and it reinforces my commitment to this vital work. Together, we strive to make a lasting impact, empowering survivors and rebuilding lives. I firmly believe that everyone deserves access to justice, protection, and the opportunity to live a life free from fear. Being a part of FYF has given me the platform to turn this belief into action, and I am honored to contribute to the foundation’s mission of creating a world where no one is left behind.”
