Meet FYF’s Legal Protection Officer, Sonia Saeed Barakat

This week on FYF’s “Meet Our Female Leaders” series, we are spotlighting our Legal Protection Officer, Sonia Saeed Barakat: 

“I joined the Free Yezidi Foundation because it supports women and encourages them to work in a society that continues to discriminate against women in all spheres/fields. Through the Free Yezidi Foundation, many women have been empowered to become a part of our society’s workforce. They are competent, talented, and willing to succeed in various sectors. They encourage other women to realize their dreams and take advantage of opportunities.

 

Through my work with the Free Yezidi Foundation, I have been able to achieve many of my goals. I am very grateful for FYF. It provides me with an opportunity to develop, grow, and challenge myself. It makes me realize the value of my work and enhances my sense of pride and personal achievement.”
