Six Year Commemoration in Iraq

Khanke, Iraq.

Commemoration of six years since the Yezidi Genocide was held in Khanke, at the Mam Shivan shrine. Families of martyrs and the kidnapped gathered with demands for achieving justice.

6 years ago ISIS came to destroy, a genocide was committed against the peaceful Yezidi community living in Iraq. 6 years later they live in internally displaced people camps, thousands are still missing. There is still much to do to ensure a brighter future for Yezidis in Iraq.
