Our Founder and Executive Director, Pari Ibrahim, has been spotlighted in the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women’s 30 Voices of Change series.
In 2017, the UN Trust Fund awarded FYF a two-year grant to strengthen our Women’s Centre, combining trauma therapy and psychosocial support with education and livelihood training. That early support helped FYF become a stronger organization and a stronger voice for the Yezidi community.
“If you want communities to stand on their feet again, you have to help civil society do the same.”
More than a decade later, FYF is still here. But as funding shrinks, many strong young Yezidis who could carry this work forward may never get the opportunity. Your support is needed now more than ever to keep this work going and give the next generation the chance to lead.
