FYF Participates at FoRB Women’s Event at USCIRF

FYF’s Executive Director Pari Ibrahim joined a panel of speakers at a ‘Women at the Table’ event on accelerating freedom of religion or belief hosted by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) in Washington.

The event was put forward by the Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) Women’s Alliance and included the participation of several USCIRF commissioners to mark the publication of research on the role women can play in promoting FoRB in various aspects and what needs to be done by the international community to ensure that women can be included.
 
Ms. Ibrahim met personally with USCIRF commissioners and other stakeholders to discuss the challenges facing the Yezidi community, with a focus on Yezidi women. USCIRF is an influential body in the United States that focuses on protecting religious freedom and rights around the world.
