Harikara – Helpers

There will be a point when there is a disaster somewhere else in the world, and humanitarian aid organisations have to leave to assist others in those area’s in need. In the humanitarian aid world it is important to have projects that are sustainable, so that once the humanitarian aid is gone, some projects might continue within the community.

Over the years, we’ve invested time and energy in Yezidi women that did not have a basic education, were never able to get a job. After they graduate from the women’s center, some of them apply for extra training in a specific field, Trauma, GBV, Justice and Accountability and more. After the training, they go in to the community and spread information and do exercises around those subjects. They are brining back a lot of information and referrals to our psychologists, GBV experts and lawyers.

FYF works to support the most vulnerable members of the Yezidi community by providing them with education, economic empowerment, post-trauma treatment, and access to justice. If you want your donations to have a real impact on the lives of women and children affected by conflict, please consider giving to FYF today.
